I see my free time becoming limited...so I wanted to take advantage of a couple of challenges.   Today I made a card for Craft Project Central.   I enjoy this challenge and anytime stamping takes you out of your comfort zone, it's a blessing!   This is the Card Challenge Sketch...



It is really a fabulous sketch!

I love Halloween.   It's one of my favorite holidays.  Here is my creation!



Of course I had to make it a little more complicated than need be!   I wanted something fun behind those doors.   I love hearing the door bell ring on Halloween and as I answer it with candy; my favorite part is seeing all the kids in costumes.   Their eyes are full of wonderment and excited to see how much candy they can receive.   So I had to try to put that feeling into my card.



I had the idea about the doors, so I had to get out my BIG SHOT, you gotta have a big shot - it's the best investment I have made!   I needed a door of some sort, so I found my Peekaboo Frames Bigz L die.   Ran  a piece Old Olive, Rich Razzleberry, and Pumpkin Pie cardstock through the Big Shot.   I love the new Howlstooth & Scaringbone DSP so I had to have that paper be part of this card.  This DSP is found in the NEW Holiday Catalog.    I love black and gray...two great colors together.   I wanted to give it a little texture so I put the DSP in the Spider Web TIEF and after I ran it through the Big Shot,  I sprayed it with some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint mixed in alcohol.   It is hard to see the sparkle from this picture.   Also from the Holiday Catalog, the Googly Ghouls clear stamp set.   I used Versa Mark and Black Embossing powder and stamped  the three images on Very Vanilla.   Punched them out with 1 1/4" Circle Punch.    I placed the three circles on the card and adhered them with Tombo glue and our snail.   I stamped the Black embossed BOOOO on Basic Gray and punch it out with Modern Label Punch.   I punched out a piece of Very Vanilla Cardstock cut it in half and  give it a layered look.   Adhered it with a couple of dimensionals.   Added the 1/2" Black/Gray Striped Satin Ribbon on both corners.  I layered the DSP to Black Cardstock and then both to Very Vanilla Cardstock.  I took some Rhinestone Basic Jewels and added it to my three images.   I wanted to give them a glassy look!    I added the Googly Eyes to the BOOOO words.

When I got done, the card looked a little dull...I needed something on the front of the Peekaboo frames.   I wanted "trick or treat" but I didn't have a stamp that said that.   My hand writing isn't the best so I thought of the next best thing...WICKED COOL CLEAR STAMP SET!   I took the words "have a WICKED halloween" and put it on the outside of all the Peekaboo frames...it gave me the effect I wanted..."that waiting to see who is outside my door on Halloween!"

I am always Creating Cards For You!

This week I am participating in a Challenge and to my surprise it's all about our Designer Series Paper!   I love our DSP; it has exclusive artwork and colors.   Each packages  contains 10 sheets of  12″ x 12″ double-sided designs.  The greatest part of our DSP is it coordinate with our card stock, inks, markers, etc.   DSP is a great choice for scrapbooking and it also adds a great accent to any card you may create.   Really, it's a great "GO TO" paper!   Whether you are using it for 3D projects, covering chipboard, scrapbooking, or decorating cards; it is easy to work with and add a little touch of love to whatever you are doing.



This card contains NO stamping and I like how it turned out.

99 Cent Designer Fabric

Each month in addition to the great 3D projects that they have for us, they also host a monthly card challenge – Creating Pretty Cards!!  I wanted to participate in a challenge I and chose Craft Project Central. 

Here is the sketch of the challenge.

Here is what I did to create this card!

I used Real Red, Very Vanilla, Early Espresso,  and Lucky Limeade as my card stock.   I ran the long Apothecary Accents Framelit through my Big Shot cutting out the template in Early Espresso Card stock.

From the Holiday Catalog, I used the Holiday Ornaments Framelit Dies and ran them through the Big Shot.   I cut out 3 ornaments from Candlelight Christmas Specialty DSP.  I took out my Simply Score and scored each ornament down the middle or in half.  Taking my Tombo glue, I glued  3 ornaments together.   I snailed the  Apothecary Accents Framelit to the Right side of the Real Red card stock.

Using my new 6 1/2" x 9 1/2" Piercing mat;  taking out my new piercing tool and the Festive Paper-Piercing pack and pierced around my Apothecary Accents Framelit  on the Real Red card stock.   It was so easy to follow the pattern.   Stampin' Up has done a great job of adding new ways to create awesome cards.

Taking about 6" of Very Vanilla 1/8" Taffeta Ribbon, I tied a knot at one end...leaving a little room for something to dangle off the end and  tucked the other end behind the Real Red card stock.   I used Glue dots to hold it down.   Then I took 2 Basic Glimmer Silver Brads and cut off the ends.  I used Crystal Effects to glue the 2 brads together at the end of the ribbon.

I took a small piece of ribbon and glue dotted it around the top of the ornament.  (Really this was suppose to add ribbon or Baker's Twine towards the bottom but it fit better at the top.)  I added a bow on top of the ribbon and ornament.

I put the card together and added the saying from Joyous Celebrations in Early Espresso ink.   Taking my Tombo glue, I glued the ornament to the card.  The card needed a little something, so I mixed some Champagne Mist Shimmer Paint with alcohol in one of our Stampin' Spritzers and sprayed the card.

When we were coming to Hawaii for a much needed vacation, I asked if there was anyone on the Big Island who would want to stamp for a day.   Robin's name came up and I wrote and asked her if I could share the day with her.   I didn't know we were 2-3 hours away from each other but I wanted to go anyway!   We drove along wonderful scenery; through lots of different types of weather; through different types of climates...this was just on one Island.   Finally got to Robin's house and what a wonderful place.   (I will share more pictures later.)   It's amazing that two strangers can meet and talk for hours.   I love stampers!    Meeting Robin and stamping with her has been a highlight!   I recommend doing this!   Here are the cards we made and the picture we took at her fabulous place.   Thank you Robin for a great time and a new friend!   Mahalo!

I love Susan Rice's idea of stamping on Chocolate.   This technique is for all those people who love chocolate and stamping.


Give a hand stamped romantic treat to your sweetheart by stamping extra special chocolates. You will need some cooking oil, store bought chocolates, little paper liners for individual chocolates to sit in and small clear acrylic rubber stamps. Experiment with different chocolate brands. It may be easiest to begin on solid chocolates.

1. Place a small amount of vegetable oil on a paper towel and allow it to absorb. Take your choice of new acrylic rubber stamps and dab it in the oil. It is important that you use new rubber stamps for this as the finished product will be consumed and you don't want any ink coming off the stamps onto the chocolate.

2. Heat the surface of the chocolate with a heat embossing tool.

3. Place the oiled clear rubber stamp (without a stamping block) into the melted chocolate. Refrigerate the chocolate with the clear stamp still in the chocolate. Complete your set of chocolates using different rubber stamp images.

4. Once the chocolate has solidified, bring it out of the fridge and gently peel the clear acrylic stamp from the surface of the chocolate.

5. Package your personalized, unique stamped chocolates in a box. Add a little colored tissue paper if you like. Be sure to clean your clear rubber stamps with soapy water as you don't want any traces of chocolate or oil left especially if you plan on converting your clear stamps over for use on paper crafts.

6. Make a coordinating Valentines Day card to go along with your gift of heart.

That is it! It is easy and it is yummy! Rubber stamping with clear stamps on food is a completely unique way to say Happy Valentines Day!

OTHER YUMMY STAMPED TREAT IDEAS
• Stamp a favorite image in a plain sugar cookie before baking.
• Stamp a flower into fondant, cut it out and decorate cakes or other goodies with it.
• Write a special message in a chocolate bar with this technique for an unexpected surprise.

Use your imagination in the kitchen, stamp on anything that will hold an image. Remember, if it doesn't work - you might have to eat it! No matter how unbelievable, enjoy rubber stamping fabulous sweet treats!

I went to bed really late after creating this card and knew I wanted to make a fun Halloween card. I had fun making this card. It looks really scary!

I love my downline. She really pushes me to be a better demonstrator and to challenge myself. So, this last challenge has gotten me a little nervous but also push me to a new level of stamping. She has asked me to take part in a card challenge. This is really, I mean really scary for me. So...

So...

I am a Halloween freak. I love all the Halloween stamps Stampin up offers and I LOVE creating cards in my mind. (Does anyone else do that?) For the past two weeks, I have been looking up card challenges and creating cards…yes, you got it, in my mind. Today I sat down and I created one of those wonderful Halloween cards.
