Old Technique brought back to Life

by ktstamps, 7:18 PM
I wanted to bring back a technique I used many years ago.   It used to be one of my favorite techniques because it used lots of glitter.   I LOVE GLITTER!

I got my camera ready to take a pictures and my cat CT sat down when I pressed the button.
All I could do was laugh!   Since I have retired, the cats are like magnets...they don't want to miss anything or they stick to me like glue.

Here is what I made and I was holding the cat in my arms while taking the picture.

Here are the instructions on how to make this glittery card!   I took a 4" x 8" Crushed Curry cardstock and scored it at 4".   I attached it to a piece of Thick Whisper White that measures 4 1.4" x 5 1/2".  I took a 2 3/8" x 5 1/4" piece of Whisper White and randomly stamped images from Gather Together Stamp Set.   (I always made sure there were 3 images of each set.)  I used a crimper tool, inserted the cardstock and crimp.   I matted it on a 2 1/2 x 5 piece of Early Espresso cardstock.   I lightly applied Mono liquid glue in the valleys of the ridges.   (I tried using wink of Stella but it smeared my ink.)  I poured glitter onto the crimped cardstock, catching excess in my glitter container.  Please remove the excess glitter by tapping the back of the cardstock.  I tied a piece of 1 1/2" Metallic Mesh Ribbon.  I used the "Thanks and You" from Well Written Framelits dies.   I cut off the "S" and used mono to attach the sentiment.   I finished the cards off by using frosted Elegant Facette Gems.   Easy Peasy!  Please create your own Glitter Ridge card and share it with me!  I would love to see what you create.
