New Horizon Card

I love the New Horizon Suite of products (157782) found on pages 42 and 43 of the new January – June mini catalog! I was hooked by the Horizon dies (157778), especially the fence dies. But the real clincher is the New Horizons 6” x 6” designer series papers (157768)! They make a perfect background for any scene and can create a stunning card just by themselves. This card uses several of the products from this suite.

Stamp set – On the Horizon (157770)

Ink – Evening Evergreen Classic Stampin’ Pad (155576)

Paper including cutting dimensions –

            Soft Sea Foam Cardstock [CS](146988) 8 ½” x 5 ½” scored and folded at 4 ¼”, 2” x 1”

Sahara Sand Cardstock [CS] (121043) scraps

New Horizons 6” x 6” Designer Series Paper [DSP] (157768) below is the sheet used for                     the card design as pictured - one Sheet

1. Place the small of the stitched rectangle dies inside the larger one on a piece of Sahara Sand CS and run through the die-cutting machine to make the frame.

2. Cut another piece of Sahara Sand CS with the two fence dies. On the longer piece cut off two slats.

3. Place the larger stitched rectangle die on the DSP positioning the line between the green and the pink at about the bottom third or fourth of the die. Cut with the die-cutting machine.

4. Stamp the trees off to the left side of the rectangle with Evening Evergreen ink and the birds with Basic Gray ink. With liquid glue adhere this DSP piece to the Sahara Sand frame.

5. Adhere the frame to the card front with Seal.

6. Use multipurpose liquid glue to adhere to the fences as shown.

7. Stamp the greeting on the 2” x 1” piece of Soft Sea Foam with Evening Evergreen ink.

8. Apply a couple of strips of Seal to the back of the greeting and arrange the ribbon as shown then apply the greeting to the card front with Stampin’ Dimensionals.
