Getting Ready for Halloween

Today is a Sunny Day where you can feel the chilly fall air through your clothes.   The sky is so blue and the temperatures are very low.   The trees are starting to lose their leaves and the leaves are turning those beautiful fall colors of red, orange, yellow, light red, and a light shade of green.   Next weekend is Halloween...how do you handling "Trick or Treaters" on Halloween?   Please leave your suggestions in the comment area...I need some help.

I wanted to make a fun Halloween card from Designer Series Paper.  (Remember DSP is 15% off!)   I wanted to share how easy it is to create a card that uses DSP a little differently.   Here's what I came up with.

I have three cats and only one cat looks like this one in the card.   The base of the card is Cajan Craze CardStock.  I layered on a piece of Whisper White Cardstock, and then I added my favorite DSP called Magic in the Night.  (I love this designer series paper!  OH MY!)  On a piece of scratch paper, I stamped the sentiment from Celebration Tidings stamp set in black memento ink.  I used my Big Shot and Stampin' Cut & Emboss Machine to cut the square from Stitched Shapes and adhered the cat using dimensionals.  I die cut the sentiment using Layering Ovals.   These are great because it has ovals and then a set of ribbed ovals to add a layered look. I put Black 3/8" Glitter Organdy Ribbon to cover the seam and I used the Cat punch on another sheet of that Magic in Night DSP.  I loved the ribbon called Metallic Mesh - I cut it in half so if fit around the cat's neck.  I took out a black sharpie and colored the Rhinestone Basic Jewels.   I randomly placed the rhinestones on the card.

Here is a close up of my cat.

The cat is sooo sweet!

Thank you for stopping by today.   Have a great day!
