NO, NOT ANY MOJO!

Today is my first day back from a long break. After the Holidays, I pushed myself to get back into the blog world and it just didn’t work. I got tired, run down, and really-I didn’t have any MOJO! NONE! Nothing inspired me, I’d sit in my room and just read blogs but nothing got me into that creative mood! I did a HORRIBLE 6x6 recipe card and even tried to push if off as someone’s. (OMG! Ladies in the stamp group just looked at it and then at me! OOPS) I realized at that moment…I wanted to take some time to get hungry to stamp again! I wanted to find that LOVE, that CREATIVE juice, that INSPIRATION to be creative and let the light bulb come on when I read others blogs and saw their ideas! (To make it worse…my New Year’s Resolution was to publish 3-4 times a week on my blog! Another big OOPS!)

Well, to make a short story even longer…last night the drive, that deep down feeling came over me. I made three cards for swaps and I think I did a good job. I feel like I am ready to create or CASE others and do it with style and grace! LOL! But, I am looking at blogs and being inspired. I think that is important…I am talking to strangers about my stamping business…I am trying to make classes that I would like to take at a reasonable rate. I am trying to inspire others who visit my blog to say…WELL DONE! Thank you!

So, here are a couple of cards I created. I hope you enjoy them!

I love this card.
SU Stamp Sets: Hostess level 1 From the Garden and SAB’s Friendship Blooms.
SU cardstock: Whisper white and Almost Amethyst.
SU ink: Basic Black and Apricot Appeal, Regal Rose, and Certainly Celery markers.
SU accessories: Certainly Celery ¼” Grosgrain ribbon, Antique brass Hodgepodge Hardware, 2-way glue, Dazzling Diamonds, and the Celery from the Fine Cosmo glitter combo.
Then I had to buy some of those fabulous Nestabilities from Paper Trey.

I love Asian Art! LOVE IT! So I decided to make a card that reminded me of a great piece of art. This technique is called Tinted Opaques from Technique Junkies.
SU stamp set: Artfully Asian.
SU cardstock: Whisper White, Real Read, Basic Black, and Brushed Silver
SU ink: Basic Black Craft, Real Red and Always Artichoke Markers
SU accessories: Retired ¼” Gold Ribbon and ¼” Grosgrain Real Red ribbon, clear embossing powder, and Heat and Stick powder

I love these two cards - you are so creative and I always love to come visit your site!! I have found that casing other people's work tends to help the creative juices to get flowing, and then you can create your own. I hope you have a happy stamping day today!! HUGS!
